This virtual program will be offered at NO COST to schools through a partnership with The Community Foundation of Sarasota and generous gifts from Florida Studio Theatre’s supporters.

Available in your classroom for the entire 2020-2021 school year!

Florida Studio Theatre’s WRITE A PLAY program has been bringing quality arts-integration into classrooms for over 30 years!

Using proven theatrical methodology, FST teaching artists will guide students to write plays of their own focusing on the 4 elements of a play: Characters, Setting, Problem, and Dialogue.

Designed to integrate language arts and theatre standards, the workshops use innovative techniques to get your students excited about writing! In this introductory of workshop students will learn about the elements of a play, and write and develop plays of their very own.

Every student is encouraged to submit their plays to FST’s Young Playwright’s Festival our annual celebration of young playwright’s and educators.

Workshops last 40 minutes each and are available between 9am-3:30pm.
