Build-a-Circus!
The Circus Arts Conservatory’s Teaching Artists build a real Circus for an entire grade level that culminates in a live Circus performance for the school. This program has been working at several area schools for the past 15 years.
Each class is assigned a Circus Act to present: Clowns, Jugglers, Jump Ropers, Hula Hoops. Skills are practiced for the presentation in the classroom over the course of several sessions. Team work, individual challenge, a vibrant learning format, and presentation skills form the foundation of Build-a-Circus.
Goals:
Students develop individual and group skills.
Students will exhibit responsible decision making and learn to respect the work of others.
Students will experience the thrill of performing in a show in front of family and friends.
