The mission of Save Our Seabirds is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release sick and injured birds and to educate the public about avoiding injuries and preserving habitats.

Save Our Seabirds receives over 5,000 distress calls from caring citizens throughout the Sarasota and Manatee Counties per year.

Exploration Description

Take the first step into the basics of birding, then a deep dive into the world of birds of prey in this program. Along with Save Our Seabirds, we will learn how to use binoculars and field guilds, get familiar with bird vocalizations, and take a tour of the sanctuary and surrounding mangroves for the first part of our birding adventure. Afterwards, we will dig into the behaviors and adaptations
